Department of Environment and Natural Resouces (DENR) in partnership with Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the city government of Manila recently launched a campaign in rehabilitating Manila Bay. Through the years, Manila Bay has been home of city wastes caused by buildings and local residents who keep on throwing their wastes to the water ways. Last February 19th, Feeding Change Philippines took part on this advocacy and helped out on the rehabilitation of Manila Bay.
For everyone's safety, all volunteers are encouraged to bring the following:
*Gloves
*Boots
*Water Jug/Bottle
*Mask
*Cap/Hat
*Extra Clothes
*Tongs
*Rake
*Sack
*Shovel
The team was able to collect ocean wastes like plastic bottles, slippers, and the like.
The organization is looking forward to more Filipinos joining the said campaign.
